Amy received her BA in Psychology from California State University San Bernardino. She worked for four years as a sexual assault counselor with a rape crisis hotline. After receiving her degree, she worked for seven years with the San Bernardino District Attorney as a victim advocate specializing in sexual assault, domestic violence, elder abuse, and hate crimes. She relocated to San Diego in 2013 and worked at the San Diego Center for Children in the residential program, and later in their human resources department. Amy is a devout Catholic with a passion for the work of Children of the Immaculate Heart.
