Restore All Things In Christ
Children of the Immaculate Heart (CIH) was founded to serve those who are vulnerable due to sex trafficking. It seeks to reach out to women and children directly in the sex trafficking industry as well as those made vulnerable in trafficking-dependent industries.
Through evangelization of one heart at a time and primarily by bringing hope and healing to victims through safe home missions Children of the Immaculate Heart intends to be a light in a dark alley where many are suffering.
The primary apostolate of CIH is to open homes for survivors of sex trafficking. The home would be a place where they can find safety and undertake the journey to healing and success. It is the hope of CIH that they will be able to live not only in physical freedom but that they will encounter the love of Jesus Christ and discover the true freedom of being sons and daughters of God who heals us through His own sacred wounds. Saint Pope John Paul II and the Council Fathers of Vatican II are our inspiration for this vocation, thanks to their teachings about the dignity of the human person and the beauty of true masculinity and femininity.
"… only in the mystery of the incarnate Word does the mystery of man take on light…Christ, the final Adam, by the revelation of the mystery of the Father and His love, fully reveals man to himself and makes his supreme calling clear."
The culture of death in which we live has made industries out of the use of one human person for the passing pleasure of another person. All of these evils directly destroy the natural and supernatural happiness of man and prevent him even from understanding himself. Children of the Immaculate Heart desires to contribute to the building of a civilization of love by starting with just one shelter – a home that will allow girls to encounter the love of Jesus Christ, to heal, and get the education and job training they need they need to live healthy, fulfilling lives in society.
While we do not currently have the capacity to offer services to survivors within a home setting, we continue to serve adult women who have survived sex trafficking - providing them and their children with vital services to help them move towards healing, stability, independence, and restoration in Christ.
