We moved in!

We are excited to announce that after much planning, we have moved into our new Drop-In Center as of May 1st 2025! We will initially serve clients who call our emergency services phone number by appointment only, ensuring personalized support, and we’ll eventually transition to a full walk-in model.

What is a Drop-In Center?

​Survivors often face trauma, instability, and distrust of institutions. A drop-in center provides a safe and supportive environment where individuals can access essential services without commitment or residency requirements. These centers serve as an entry point for survivors seeking assistance, helping them rebuild their lives at their own pace and build relationships of trust that can give them the courage and resources to leave “the life” behind them.

Drop-in centers are like a bridge out of sex trafficking into a new life. There is no drop-in center exclusively for trafficking survivors in San Diego. Providing this service ensures more survivors receive the support they need to rebuild their lives as we strive to place each client in a program that suits their needs, whether that is with CIH or another local organization.

Key Services

Drop-in centers offer flexible, trauma-informed support, including:
  • Assistance with Basic Needs – Food, clothing, warm shower and hygiene supplies
  • Mental Health Services – Counseling and faith-based counseling
  • Case Management – Help with housing navigation, employment, education, and legal aid assistance.
  • Community Support – A safe space to connect with others.
  • Spiritual Support - Chapel on site and staff guided by faith to support the clients.
